Territory

Lombardy, in the heart of northern Italy, is the richest and most populous region in Italy.
Thanks to the numerous excellences in various sectors, it is considered the "economic engine" of the country.
It is the region of three landscapes: the Alpine Arch with glaciers and mountains that descend to the Prealps, the area of lakes and the Po Valley.
The climate is very varied, from the alpine climate in the northern area to the milder climate of the lake area.
It enjoys a strategic position as it is located on the main routes between the Mediterranean area and Central Europe and has an excellent railway and freeway system.

Tourism

Milan, the capital of Lombardy, is considered the capital of fashion. A very active city both economically and culturally, it is a city rich in treasures to be discovered, which is why every day millions of visitors from all over the world come to visit this wonderful city.
Among the places to visit we recommend: the Cathedral of Milan, Palazzo Reale, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, La Scala Theatre, the Sforzesco Castle, Sempione Park, Brera, the Navigli district, the Basilica of Sant'Ambrogio, the Basilica of San Lorenzo, Porta Nuova and Corso Como, Piazza Gae Aulenti, Leonardo da Vinci's Last Supper in the refectory of Santa Maria delle Grazie.

Como, the city of Alessandro Volta, elegant and vital. Located at the western end of Lake Como, is known for its international tourism but also for the production and export of silk recognized throughout the world.

Among the places to visit we recommend: the Cathedral of Como, the Church of Sant'Abbondio, Palazzo Broletto, the Tempio Voltiano. Don't miss a walk along the lakefront and the ascent to Brunate with the funicular.

Gastronomy

Lombardy's enogastronomy is one of the most varied thanks to the variety of the landscape and to the flow of people visiting the region or moving there.
Cuisine is mainly based on foods cultivated in the fields (cereals, maize, rice, wheat).
Lombardy is the main producer of cow's milk and has a great tradition of dairy products such as Grana Padano, Gorgonzola and Taleggio.
