Territory

The Balearic Islands are not only known as an entertainment destination, but also for some of the most beautiful beaches, sea and nature in the Mediterranean. Cuisine mainly based on vegetables, cereals and legumes. Typical Mallorcan dishes: ensaimada (typical dessert), Menorcan soups. Also try Palo de Mallorca (liqueur). Typical dishes of Menorca: Mahon cheese, sausages (sobrassada) Typical dishes of Ibiza: bullit de peix (seafood, shellfish and potatoes), tonyina (tuna). Also try the herbal liqueur. Typical Formentera dishes: ensalada payesa with dried fish, frit de polp, sofrit pagès and calamars a la bruta. Honey and dried figs are a must.
